History was made 16th December 2005 when England had its first ever litter of American Hairless Terriers born to Neo & Trinity here at Naked Heart Kennel.
The American Hairless Terrier is the only truly hairless dog . . . totally hair free. No other breed can make such a claim. Only during it's first weeks of life does it have hair. By 6 weeks old it’s all gone due to its recessive gene.
As puppies lose all there fine short hair there skin looks lighter on the dark parts, becoming darker a little later as they grow older.
In winter the American Hairless Terrier skin colour is lighter than in the summer when their skin pigment becomes very much darker with more markings.
All our dogs are pets and are treated and loved as pets.
All puppies are raised in a family environment and well socialized. We keep puppies until they are 8 to 9 weeks old, they can then go to their new owner’s homes.
